Final of the Swiss Innovation Challenge Malaysia 2025 with SARVIDROS
IoTech Solutions has once again proven its mettle on the competitive stage, earning a place in the Final Pitching Session of the Swiss Innovation Challenge Malaysia 2025 with its flagship disaster-intelligence platform, SARVIDROS—Search And Rescue Via Integrated Drone-Robot Operations System—which, competing as team SICMY25_DEV040, will now be presented before a panel of distinguished judges at Menara SME Bank in Kuala Lumpur on 24 September, a milestone that validates the platform's creativity, technical depth, and real-world impact in tackling a critical problem: the fragmented, slow-moving nature of conventional disaster response, where satellite maps, standalone drones, ground sensors, and through-rubble detectors all operate in isolation, costing lives and precious time during the decisive first hours of floods, landslides, or building collapses.
SARVIDROS was purpose-built to close that gap by fusing four vertically integrated sensing-and-action tiers—spaceborne Earth observation for wide-area hazard detection, in-situ hydrometeorological ground sensing for real-time field data, a heterogeneous robotic swarm comprising RescueAI drones, Robodog quadrupeds, and HydroGuard AGVs that operate across air, land, and water, and a ruggedised multi-modal victim-detection pod equipped with mmWave radar, thermal imaging, and microphone arrays to locate survivors behind debris—all governed by a single, shared live disaster digital twin that creates a bidirectional, closed-loop coupling, meaning orbital and meteorological precursors can autonomously pre-position and task the swarm before responders even arrive on site, while observations from the field are continuously written back to the same twin to sharpen hazard models and rescuer guidance, effectively shifting disaster response from a reactive "deploy-and-search" model to a predictive "predict, pre-position, and triage" framework that maintains full mission continuity even when terrestrial infrastructure is destroyed; at the core of this intelligence is an agentic AI and language-model pipeline that interprets live data against the digital twin, classifies casualties using the START triage protocol, translates commander intent into coordinated mission plans, and offers a multilingual voice and chatbot interface for both responder commands and public communication, all underpinned by an edge-fog-cloud architecture that ensures performance in the most connectivity-starved, GNSS-denied environments; crucially, SARVIDROS has been developed in close collaboration with the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (Bomba) as an operational partner, with its workflows shaped around real-world search-and-rescue, confined-space, water-rescue, and mass-casualty standard operating procedures, and it now stands alongside IoTech's broader deeptech portfolio—including the ARIVAAN and SwarmGuard families—with its core architecture already the subject of intellectual-property filings; reaching this final places IoTech Solutions among the country's most promising deeptech innovations on an international stage, and for the team, it is a powerful recognition of their simple yet profound conviction that homegrown robotics and AI can make Malaysia—and communities everywhere—more resilient to disaster, a conviction that drives them forward as they prepare to share SARVIDROS with the judges and partners of the Swiss Innovation Challenge.
