MPC has organized Industry 4.0 Hackathon in collaboration with Asia Pacific University (APU). The hackathon is held on 12 to 13 October 2019. The event is held at Cyber Range of APU, and there are 7 teams participated in the Hackathon.
The hackathon aims to promote IoT talent across Malaysian Universities. This aligns with MPC initiatives Key Strategy #3, Accelerating the Adoption of Industry 4.0, led by Dr. Thomas Ooi (EEPN KS#3 Chairperson). Specifically, the Industrial 4.0 Hackathon resonates with Action Item No. 4 under KS#3, to drive regional I4.0 technology hackathon activities for the identified technology areas, and this is led by Electrical and Electronics Productivity Nexus (EEPN), supported by MPC, MITI.
The outcomes of this competition are publication and industry adoption. Student’s ideas from the competition are to be published at APU’s Social Media and Website. Projects demonstrated in the competition may be adopted by the industry.
